Basketball Skill

Getting prepared for basketball as if we were in a real game. We completed challenges to build our strength in our mind as we concentrate to learn more skills.  Every Thursday Room 21 has been given an opportunity to learn some basketball skills. As often we always have to do sports on the hard court, unless it’s raining otherwise it is in the hall. Two coaches called Tai and Shae have been teaching us some difficult moves.  Developing skills for basketball is a great idea because you could improve your skills in basketball and can use it to make you fit.

There were another class that were on the hard court waiting for us as we were lining up into five straight lines. Getting started with challenges to build our minds with the concentration that we had to do.  Running and jumping is the first exercise we had to do. Then came dribbling the ball. It was really hard to bounce it straight while we were dribbling.

The hard part of another exercise which was to get the ball around our body and in order from around the head and around the middle then around the legs and we had to do it 20 times.  Faster and faster we went and eventually most of us had dropped the ball. It was really difficult for us because most of us weren’t used to playing basketball, especially me.

We were ready to finish Tai had announced that we were going to play a game. “This game is called......... Over and Under” he called. As we lined up straight we were prepared for the game. With the ball in one of the team members hands we were all eager to start.  “Ready...Steady...Go!” shouted Tai as we hastily pass the ball over and under. Although we didn’t get the chance to win we were very exhausted with excitement.
