A fun day at the beach

Getting ready for an amazing day at the beach, Pt England School had wandered down towards Pt England reserve. Once we got there we had to listen to the safety rules from Mr Burt. Parents, teachers and other helpers came to help look after the kids and make sure they were safe.

As we left from our class lines, classes left to find a picnic area to put their bags down. Then classes started laying out their tapolens. Room 21’s one was small well at least we had one. When we threw our bags down. With excitement everyone went off and enjoyed the sunshine.

There were heaps of students playing different kinds of sports. Even some were on the soggy sand creating sandcastles and then demolishing them. Some kids were even making art work out of sand. Isn’t that interesting. Each Year age went for a swim in the glorious water splashing at different times only when Mr Burt said so.

Well everyone was doing activities I was busy having fun playing volley ball. Nearly every 30 or 40 minutes a new referee comes along and refs the game. I thought to myself ‘ isn’t it supposed to be one ref, oh well just get on with the game’ Finally I had a rest and took a time out because my wrist really hurt.

At the end of the day we all had to pack up at 2:00pm everyone was ready to go back to school. It look like everyone enjoyed themselves and was really hot. I felt really exhausted after playing way to much volley ball and also running around. Well at least it was nice weather especially a hot, bright and sunny day.

Once we got back from school it was five minutes to three and Rm 21 had free time until the bell rang. This was an interesting day.

  1. Hey Te Roimata,

I had a lot of fun at the beach and I really enjoyed it when we got to sit on the soft sand and have a swim. It also sounds like you had heaps of fun.

Keep up the great writing :)
