My Experience At Tamaki Tech

Waking up early Monday morning I realised that it  was Tech. I really didn’t want to go. Suddenly I look at the time, “Oh no I'm late already, but it’s only been 5 minutes” I thought. I grabbed my bag and my lunch and raced out the door.

Finally I reached school finding out that team 5 had already left for Tech at Tamaki College. It was really upsetting to get left behind but I guess it was my fault. Mrs Jarman was kind of nice to drop me off and also Naomi.

Once we got to Tamaki College we all raced towards our class rooms. As I walked in to the class everyone who was there was learning stuff than Mr Dewan had taught them, but then he had to repeat it all for the late comers.

Everybody was put into groups from number 1 through to number 7. There was heaps of mucking up that heaps of people did. But at the end, all the mischief had ended. So we got back to work. There were some kids that demonstrated how to use a Bunsen burner. Most of them thought it was easy.

Science is not my favourite subject at the moment because I don’t like doing stuff like experimenting and plus it’s boring. We learnt plenty of things like how to use a Bunsen burner and also how to use a gas tap.

  1. Hey Te Roimata

I know how you feel running late always makes a difficult start to the day, especially if you get left behind, but it does feel good to catch up if you can :)

I hope you find some of the science content interesting I've found there can be some realy fun experiments if you get the chance to do them and keep an open mind :)

Have fun and keep writing :)

  2. Hey Roimata,

Science is not my best thing to do too but I have to say that using I Bunsen burner can be fun. I know that when you are late for something it's hard to catch up to the other student's in the class. Next time you should leave home early so that you make it in time for tech.

    Great work
